The Music of Coldplay, A Piano Tribute

Imaginative piano renditions of the music from the band of international fame.

Unlimited music downloads available on numerous websites today can make any music lover drool over. Dont lose your senses, though. The market of unlimited music downloads is huge and still expanding, so the question is not where to find these sites, but how to get the best deal and quality without posing your money, computer and yourself at risk.

Obviously, all the sites offering unlimited music downloads are not the same. While there are a few genuine ones, the sad and scary fact is most of those sites are fraud, using the offer of unlimited music downloads as a lure to get either money or sensitive data from you. And the peer-to-peer sites, giving away free unlimited music downloads, are notorious for malware and viruses of all sorts any downloaded file can lodge in your computer.

Take your time to search around and see what those incredible promises of unlimited music downloads are about. Read the sites terms and conditions. Is there a proof that the songs they supply are legal and copyright issue free? The last thing you want is to become a law offender.

There are too many websites giving away unlimited music downloads absolutely free of cost mostly illegally (though claiming the opposite), on the basis of sharing. Usually they are full of aggressive flashing ads and irritating pop-ups, making it difficult to navigate the site and find what you want. Also, some of them may try to trick you into paying for software you will need in order to manage your unlimited music downloads, while the software is available free of cost on other sites.

Check if you can browse the song library. If the site asks you to subscribe first, it is very likely a scam. Some legal and reputed websites may request you to download their software in order to see the selection of music downloads, but they will neither charge you, nor ask you to subscribe or register. Most genuine websites will also allow you to listen to sample tracks to make sure this is what you were looking for and to check the quality.

Compare pricing for membership or subscription, check if there are any extra charges, say, for burning a CD. Stay away from too unrealistic offers of unlimited music downloads. Such website can collect your money and instead of the promised lifetime membership just disappear overnight. Therefore, it also makes sense to check the sites reputation find out how long they have been in business, how many members they have, read reviews and clients feedback.

If you have no time to research, try a quick check for a possible scam: navigate your mouse over other major links on the site, e.g. Download Now or Music if you see the same URL that the homepage has, better search somewhere else.

The online industry of unlimited music downloads is exposed to various tricks and unethical practices, but it doesnt mean that you cant enjoy your favorite music. Unlimited music downloads can become a fantastic experience if you take simple steps to secure yourself and prevent scam attempts.

Why not pop over to my blog and check out some of the most popular and reliable download services?

Davion is a music addict and carry do without them. Find out about hot and limited offers for unlimited music downloads. Also read his wildly popular article for unlimited music downloads tips.

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE - PLANS - T-SHIRT

Clams with Mojo is a Latin version of the famous Clams Casino. Clams Casino was invented by Julius Keller, the maitre d' in the original Casino next to the seaside Towers in Narragansett, RI.

The Casino burned to the ground in 1905 and was rebuilt with a grand restaurant, but then burned again in 1956.

Clams Casino is now a classic Rhode Island appetizer, appearing on almost every restaurant menu and at the same time a popular dish with home cooks who want to impress their guests.
Topping it with bacon is what makes it different.

Use a small clam like the littleneck or cherrystone. The larger clams have a tendency to get tough.

If you like this mojo (salsa) make extra and try it on poultry, steak, pork or grilled fish.

  • 2 1/2 Chipotle Chiles, toasted & minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh Jalapeno Peppers, stemmed, seeded & finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons Red Bell Pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons Scallions, red and green parts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Shallots, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Lime Juice, freshly squeezed
  • 6 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces pepper Bacon, chopped
  • 4 dozen Clams, cleaned
Directions
  1. To make the Mojo (salsa), mix all the ingredients together and place in refrigerator. It is best to make the mojo a couple of hour early to allow the flavors to meld.

  2. Prepare a medium-hot fire on the grill. To read how to EASILY check the temp of your fire read how Jamie does it at The Weekend Grillers - Testing the temperature of your grill with just your hand.
  3. Cook the bacon until crisp on the stove or side burner of your grill. Drain the bacon on a paper towel.
  4. Grill the clams for 6 to 8 minutes or until they open. Discard any clams that don't open.
  5. Put the clams on a serving plate.
  6. Spoon a teaspoon of mojo onto each clam.
  7. Sprinkle with bacon.
  8. Serve and enjoy.

COLDPLAY Cables S/S Tee

In looking to download music to a MP3 player the process is relatively easy once you learn the basics. First, you'll need to have all your connecting cables or docks, software and the music you want to download in place.

As not all portable devices are created equally, you may need your manual to tell you where to begin. This is especially true if you're a total newbie to a particular media player or to MP3 players in general. However, most portable devices usually work in the same manner, so in order to download music to MP3 players you should follow the same, or at least similar, steps.

Hopefully your MP3 player can hook up to your computer using a USB connection; this would be the easiest way to download music to a MP3 player. Just transfer music files as you would other files and documents to a removable disk drive and copy and paste.

To have organized playlists here's a useful tip; before downloading music onto your MP3 player you can create the folders beforehand and just sequence the music into the folders while you're on your computer. This will save you valuable time in the long run because you'll be able to locate the songs you want to listen to very quickly.

The accompanying software is important because some computers will need them to recognize your MP3 player when you insert it as a USB drive. If you don't have the software - for example, you're using a different computer to download music or you were so excited to buy your MP3 player that you don't remember where you put your software CD - you can probably search for it online. Once your MP3 player is recognized, downloading music will be easy.

Creative Zen players work in this manner, but will ask the user to employ Creative Media Explorer to ease up the transfer of files from your computer to your MP3 player. Creative MediaSource Organizer, meanwhile, helps you organize your files on your computer before downloading the music onto your MP3 player. You can get these two devices by pressing the "Import Media" link.

iPod does it a bit differently but similar, of course, with iTunes, which is downloaded from the iPod website. iTunes is supposed to be the most popular method in managing your music files, but can also be a pain in the neck if you let it.

iTunes is your online music manager - it organizes all your music files in folders according to artist, album and other categories, lets you create and edit playlists, and even works as a music store by offering particular files for download. Next, you sync your iPod into your computer and all the music on iTunes automatically transfers into your iPod.

Interestingly, your computer reads your iPod as a removable disk drive connected through USB, which is exactly what it is, of course. If you find that you can't play particular songs on your MP3 player, it's most likely that it's DRM-protected. Digital Rights Management has a whole slew of limits and limited accesses, such as allowing certain files to play on iPods but not on Creative Zen players or RCA Lyras, and so on.

The simplest way around this is to download music only from the sites that are compatible with your portable device to ensure that you won't be wasting money buying downloadable music that you don't actually work on your MP3 player. More complicated methods could involve illegal activity, or breaking copy-right infringement laws, so tread carefully.

As stated before, getting music into a portable device follows a general procedure. And once you start to download music to a MP3 player you'll be amazed at how easy the entire process really is.

Learn how to download music to a MP3 player and get free MP3 software that makes downloading music a breeze. Learn how to get music to iPod, Zune players, or any portable MP3 player now.

Rough Guide to World Music Volume Two: Latin and North America, the Caribbean, Asia & the Pacific (Rough Guide Music Guides)

Customer Review: Extraordinary: Overwhelmingly Wonderful
The research here is remarkable. The scholarship is first-rate, the information exhaustive (although never definitive since world music grows with leaps and bounds moment by moment). I love dipping into this attractively illustrated, logically organized, and utterly helpful guide to find whole realms of sound which I not only didn't know existed but also could not even have imagined existed without the help of these fine fans of the music about which they write so clearly and well. The world today is a depressing place. Sorrow is everywhere one turns. But this celebration of music continually energizes and revivifies. Buy it; enjoy it; and expand your CD collection.
Customer Review: Everything V. 1 was for Middle-East, African, & European ...
... this one is for Latin & North American, Caribbean, Indian, Asian/Pacific idioms. I picked up the original '94 edition to explore World Beat rhythms in improvisatory settings, and was excited to hear the new edition would cover two volumes. I am NOT displeased !!

Ah… the arpeggio. A miracle of cascading notes that produces a beautiful sound on the piano. To most it's a mystery how it's created. But to those who understand chords, it's just a matter of practicing until the pattern is mastered.

Now, the arpeggio can be used either in the right or left hand (or both together) but it's usually the left-hand that takes up this amazing technique. Let's look at how one might use an extended arpeggio pattern to create an improvisation.

The first thing you need to know about most left-hand arpeggios is that they usually start below the middle of the keyboard. Most pianists begin their run below middle C and there's a good reason for this - bass notes!

Those thunderous resonant bass sounds that reverberate in the body are hit and the piano comes alive!

Now, you have to be careful here because if you hit too many bass notes together the effect can end up sounding "muddy." That is, you won't be able to differentiate the notes and you'll end up having sonic sludge. But, if you spread out the first few notes this won't happen. That's why the open position chord is perfect to begin your left-hand arpeggio. For example, let's say you want to play a C Major 9 arpeggio.

Of course, you'll begin with the C note (which is also the root note.) Now, we could play the third (e) but if we do, chances are we'll end up with that "muddy" effect. No, A better way is to play the fifth followed by either the octave or the seventh tone.

What I like to do is play a pattern that looks like this: 1-5-8-9-3 - which means I'm playing these notes: c-g-c-d-e. This pattern produces a beautiful "new age" sound and is used frequently in New Age piano playing.

For example, look at the lesson "Coming Home." Here we play an extended arpeggio in the left hand and use over 2 octaves of the keyboard. It's quite an exercise and is a good one to get your left hand moving!

Ready To Fly

Brown Floyd is a one man band with diverse musical influences, both hard and soft rock. This album has something for everyone.
Customer Review: My kids convinced me to buy this!
My eldest son convinced me to buy this album because he saw the song "Beer Party" and wanted to check it out, because he and his friends do a lot of that! So I bought it for him, also knew that if we didn't like it, I could return it no problem. Anyway, my son loves "Beer Party" and "Ocean Blvd." but I am a Mother of 3 and I work out a lot, and I use the Brown Floyd CD to power my workouts! I love the songs, the melodies, and the beats help me grind through my workouts. What a great CD, we all love it!! The love songs are sweet, and it is a lot of fun.

Whether played by a marching band, an orchestra, or a rock group, there are patriotic tunes that everyone in America finds familiar, exciting and uplifting. But how much do you know about how these songs were created? And what do you know about the people who wrote them?

There are some surprising facts behind all of this glorious music.

So, fire up the barbecue grill, look up at the fireworks, and strike up the band as we reveal the secrets behind the most influential nationalistic musical moments of all time.

"Star Spangled Banner," Francis Scott Key, 1814.

Schoolchildren in America all learn how Key watched the British bombardment of Fort McHenry during the War of 1812 and so admired the courage of the beleaguered American forces that he wrote four stanzas of "The Star Spangled Banner" (only the first is usually performed). Key based the melody on an English drinking song called "To Anacreon in Heaven." The song has only been the national anthem since 1931, and there was a strong movement to replace it with one of the other songs on this list.

"America (My Country 'Tis of Thee)," Samuel F. Smith, 1832.

The music was composed in the 1700s, sometimes attributed to Henry Cary. First popular in Great Britain as "God Save the King (Queen)," the song became bi-continental in 1832. Modern audiences have been greatly moved by the R&B version by Ray Charles, a truly wonderful blending of emotion with what musicians call "the groove."

"Rally 'Round the Flag," George F. Root, 1862.

Written for the Union army and its supporters during the Civil War, the song was hugely popular in the North. This didn't prevent Confederate troops from writing their own lyrics and singing the song throughout the South.

"When Johnny Comes Marching Home," Louis Lambert, c. 1863.

Lambert was a pseudonym for Union Army Bandmaster Patrick S. Gilmore. His lyrics, set to an old Irish folk song, were popular through the whole Reconstruction Era (1865-1896). It appears in an extended instrumental version on the soundtrack of Stanley Kubrick's film "Dr. Strangelove."

"Battle Hymn of the Republic," Julia W. Howe, 1861.

Howe is another lyricist who succeeded by utilizing a pre-existing piece of music, in this case a camp meeting tune of the 19th century (which also became "John Brown's Body"). The profound power of the words combined with the compelling melody cannot be denied, and it was sung at the funerals of Winston Churchill, Robert Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan.

"Overture: 1812," Petr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, 1880.

Patriotic music doesnt always revolve around the July 4th celebration, or even refer to the USA. Tchaikovsky got Russian hearts a-pounding with his "1812 Overture in E Flat Major Op. 49," written to celebrate the 70th anniversary of his country's victory battle during the Napoleonic Wars.

"Semper Fidelis," John Philip Sousa, 1889.

Popular ever since it was first performed, the effective and spirited tune takes its name from the U.S. Marine Corps motto meaning "always faithful" and is dedicated to the Marines.

"America the Beautiful," Katharine Lee Bates, 1895, 1904, 1913.

Originally a poem that Bates twice revised after its first publication in 1885, "America the Beautiful" was sung to several different melodies. The song associated with it today is "Materna," composed by Samuel A. Ward in 1882, but it was also often performed to the tune of "Auld Lang Syne."

"Stars and Stripes Forever," John Philip Sousa, 1896.

Composed on Christmas Day, "The Stars and Stripes Forever" has become the country's official march (US Code, Title 36 Chapter 10). Sousa wrote lyrics to the song, but they are little known today (sample: "Let martial note in triumph float / And liberty extend its mighty hand / A flag appears 'mid thunderous cheers, / The banner of the Western land.)"

"Yankee Doodle Boy," George M. Cohan, 1904.

"You're A Grand Old Flag," George M. Cohan, 1906.

"Over There," George M. Cohan, 1917.

Known as "the man who owned Broadway," Cohan was a superstar before the term was coined. While his film biography is called "Yankee Doodle Dandy," the title of his first big tribute to America is actually "The Yankee Doodle Boy." Cohan excited U.S. audiences again in 1906 with "You're a Grand Old Flag," although the original line was "You're a Grand Old Rag." It was America's entrance into World War I in 1917 that inspired Cohan to write "Over There," for which he received a congressional medal.

"God Bless America," Irving Berlin, 1938.

The prolific Berlin (900+ songs despite being unable to read music) originally wrote this song right after the first World War, but did not complete it until just before World War II. Kate Smith first performed it during her radio show on Armistice Day, 1938. An immediate sensation, the song was often suggested to replace the "Star Spangled Banner" as the national anthem.

"Star Spangled Banner," Jimi Hendrix, 1969.

The legendary guitarist took the stage near dawn on the final day of the Woodstock Music and Art Fair. The 13th song in his hour-long set was an incendiary rendition of the venerable tune. In a performance that was somehow savage and grand at the same time, Hendrix wrestled new levels of emotion from the song and generations have never heard it quite the same way again.

"Apocalypse Now," Francis Ford Coppola, 1979.

The music in question is "Ride of the Valkyries," from Richard Wagner's opera, "Die Walkure" (1854-56). The composition fit perfectly into director Coppola's nightmarish vision of the Vietnam War. The sequence, featuring a helicopter attack at dawn, never fails to raise the emotions of viewers.

Scott G owns G-Man Marketing (http://www.gmanmarketing.com) where he makes radio commercials and creates advertising in all media. He is also recording artist The G-Man, with albums on iTunes and Rhapsody via Delvian Records.

Consumed Ep

1-Practice-Its obvious but many people claim they want to learn how to play fast guitar but dont put the time in. You get out what you put in! Even if you dont have much time to spare, half an hour a day is enough to help you improve.

2-Focus your practice-You can increase the benefits of your guitar practice exponentially by practicing the same stuff each time. A good way to start this is to choose 4 licks or scales or parts of scales (anything except chords will work just fine), and play through each lick in a loop for 15 minutes. By the end of the FIRST WEEK youll be two or three times as fast as you were with those licks to begin with.

3-Think long term. Focused practice everyday is great, but its even better to have a goal in mind. for example if you want to learn a particular piece, gear your practice toward licks and techniques used in the piece and then dedicate the last 15-20 minutes(depending on how much time you have) to practicing the actual piece. Nothing helps you learn how to play fast guitar and stay motivated more than being able to see your daily progress.

4-Work on legato-Legato actually means smooth, or flowing, but in guitar circles it is the term given to fretting notes with your left hand and making them sound without actually picking anything with your right hand. It could also be called the art of hammering on and pulling off. Excellent practice as it will strengthen your left hand, not only making you faster and smooth, but will improve your vibrato and chord changes too. It just makes your hand fitter! A great way to practice this is to run up and down some scales, but only pick the first note on each string, so you will be hammering on going up and pulling off on the way down. Its tough at first but persevere and you will get rewards!

5-Use a metronome. Other musicians seem to use metronomes with no trouble, but guitarists are allergic to them, or at least seem to be! Ill spell it out - An hour with a metronome does A LOT more good than an hour without. Its simply the best tool for highlighting the weak areas and inefficiencies in your technique. There is a learning curve but stick with it-your playing will change for the better, permanently! Buy one!

6-Use a hard pick. Controversial? I know that people should use whatever pick they want to, but a softer pick WILL slow you down, and a harder one wont. Its simple physics. Most picks have a degree of flexibility, so after picking a note we have to wait for it to return to its proper shape before we pick again, or the note is not picked cleanly. Put it this way-trying to learn how to play fast guitar while using soft picks is like putting bicycle wheels on a Ferrari and then trying to drive fast. Not going to happen!

7- Start slow-Work on something until you can play it with no mistakes at all before you crank up the speed. This will do more for your all round musical skills than just pushing the metronome up a few beats every few minutes. If you move forward before your skills are ready your playing will be very very sloppy, and that will be a real hard habit to get out of!

Hopefully those tips will help you break out of a rut and get your fretboard burning!

If you are a TV fan who is now fed up trying downloading your favorite TV series episodes because of frequent virus threats and incomplete downloads, many will suggest you to use Amazon and iTunes instead of torrent networks. No doubt, they are giving you a better advice.

If you ask for my opinion, I think price is also an issue so I will not recommend you any of these. I will advise you to look for cheaper options to carry on with this hobby.

You may be TV lover who is fond of downloading a lot of programs and it is becoming heavy on your pocket. So to satisfy your cravings for these shows, start looking for more affordable options. Liking these episodes is one thing and affording them is other. Don't be worried though, because there are better options available.

A number of websites now offer you to download as many episodes, movies, music albums and shows as much you like. All you have to do is to pay their annual fee. You do not need to pay separately for every episode, an affordable once yearly payment gives you access to all you require. Isn't this a more reasonable bargain?

Now you know that there are plenty of options available for a TV buff like you. I have also gone through several websites and assessed their quality, services and support. I will advice you to visit my website to choose the option that suits you the best before spending time surfing the internet.

Jo Kino Liu is a total fanatic for watching TV series at home, but he doesn't appreciate to pay much for that. See how he can legally download TV shows almost for free anytime he wants: http://downloadmovielegal.blogspot.com

Customer Review: great system
I am now on the 3rd and final level of Rosetta Stone's Spanish (Latin America). I have been very impressed with the series. I do also use Pimsleur Spanish CDs in my car to supplement my learning. I'd recommend both to anyone interested in learning any language.
Customer Review: Installation challenges
This version is sold as Vista compatible, however installation was not straight forward with Vista Ultimate as operating system. Once installed there is an error message as the file framedynos.dll is not found. We needed to copy it into the program directory. The activation program does not work with Vista, we needed to disconnect the PC from the internet and activate via phone. Neither of these two problems was listed in the manual. The good thing was that the phone service was available even late in the night. Once these two hurdles were overcome the program seems to be working well.

LP RhythMix Mini Bongos

Our Rythmic Bongos are two-headed drums that produce hearty, authentic sound. They stand 6" tall, with 4" and 5" diameter sturdy synthetic heads - like two drums in one! Includes a musical activity booklet. Ages 2 and up.
Customer Review: Not easy to play with bare hands and too pricey*, but not all bad
Trying to play these myself, I have to play pretty forcefully to get a decent pitch. It's not nearly as easy to play as a better quality, non-toy version of bongos, but then, it's a whole lot sturdier than a quality wood & skin drum. The colors are vibrant and very appealing. These have withstood the abuses heaped on them by my kids from their toddler through preschooler years, and still look great. Buy a pair of mallets or drumsticks to go with these: it makes it a whole lot easier to play, and gives children more immediate gratification. *The "too pricey" comment was made when these were retailing at $35. The new list price of $20 seems much more reasonable, and a real bargain at the sale price of $13.99!
