Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head
Customer Review: A Pleasure to Play
I look forward to going home every night (and probably much to my neighbors' and roommate's dismay) to try to play and sing at the same time. The music is for the piano to accompany the rest of the band, so it doesn't always carry the melody. But it's awesome and not too bad. The abundance of sharps and flats may scare some, such as me, but in the end the chords are not too difficult; there is a lot of repetition. I am particularly fond of many of the songs. I hope this helps! Personally, I prefer Parachutes.
Customer Review: Great Condition, Great Content

Customer Review: Amazing movie about a rock legend
There have been several movies made about Joe Strummer but Julien Temple's is unique in its personal touch. Temple was a friend of Strummer's for many years and so had insight into the man behind the music that many people did not have. The movie consists of Joe's life story as told by many friends, acquaintances, fellow artists and others who knew him or were influenced by him over the years. Amazing music, very well put-together, and just a great story about a man who was a huge influence on rock & roll and politics during his time on this earth. Joe was taken from the world too early when he died unexpectedly in December 2002 and after watching this movie one can only wonder what more he would have accomplished. The opening scene of Joe singing "White Riot" a capella in the studio is complemented by the closing scene of Joe and Mick Jones reuniting on stage 20+ years later to perform the same song...even though they were old (and Mick a little bald!) they still ROCKED. If you like the Clash, you must see this movie!!
If you look all over the internet you will find that many sites offer free sheet music for just about every instrument. When looking for sheet music especially piano sheet music there are many different genres to choose from and this makes finding the music much easier. As the turn of the century arrived piano sheet music became very popular among young adults, many people were playing the piano and parlor music became the new trend to sweep the country, this made sheet music very popular. So much so, that every home had a piano and more often than not at least one member of the family could play it.
Sometimes it is hard to read sheet music, this is not because it is hard in general it just takes practice, the more you practice reading the sheet music the better you will becomes at it. When learning any instrument and you want to learn like a pro you need to learn the sheet music, understand it and process it.
Music directors and other musicians use sheet music for different songs and it covers many different vocal ranges and instruments. It will only teach you how to play songs and compositions by rote. Nonetheless, not everyone is blessed with the ability to play songs by ear. Musicians back then publish their songs in these unbound sheets of paper. Going back to the 19th century most of the songs in the USA became popular by sheet music. In the past not all songs were written down so most of the popular might have been lost.
If you are looking to improve your musical talents a create resource is the internet, you can download free sheet music and this will benefit you in many ways because it allows you to play other pieces of music. Musicians that are struggling musicians find it much easier to find sheet music, most of the time they can download it from the internet for free. Today, sheet music is found on many music sites on the Internet with some giving an option of free downloads.
The Internet has brought forth many resources for musicians, from one-click access to research of songs, pieces and bands, to easy access to catalogues full of thousands of instruments and other products that can be ordered and shipped directly to them with a few simple clicks. As pieces of music get complicated for the person playing it the notation of the music becomes more complicated and the difficulty to the compose the music becomes harder, because of all this you will learn how to write the music as you go along. There are literally thousands, if not millions of musical pieces for violinists to play.
To have a good grasp of the notes for a guitar a good suggestion is that you learn them slowly and with concentration. Most violin music is written in the middle C so when producing notes they are written on the treble clef. When you learn a piece of music with traditional sheet music you are not just learning the notes you are also learning another language.

80's dance musicNobody's Trying to Hurt Anyone
Even if heavy metal is seen by many people as evil and destructive it is still very popular among young and old. It is pretty obvious that the thing teenagers today (and yesterday and tomorrow) are crazy about is music. Of all the musical genres the one with probably the most enthusiastic fans has to be heavy metal and all the hundreds of sub-categories, whether it is classic hard rock or grindcore.
Discordant heavy metal music struck a chord with many teenagers during the late '70s and '80s. The loud, fast, guitar-driven music has since languished commercially as successive generations have chosen newer soundtracks to fuel their rebellion against the establishment. Many of the original fans, however, never moved on, even as they aged, started careers, got married and had children of their own.
"If you're seeing a 40-year-old at a concert, you're quite sure at 18 you know what kind of music he was into. For so many people the music of the most emotional point of their lives is a touchstone that they return to for the rest of their lives, there keeping their own youth alive.
Heavy metal fans wear their passion on more than just the sleeves of skull T-shirts and black leather jackets. For many of them, the music--louder and faster than anything heard before--became a way of life. The mostly white, mostly male and mostly middle-class listeners found a feeling of power over their parents, over their teachers, over the jocks at school that treated them as outcasts.
Metalheads, or headbangers, as they called themselves, built up a community linked through underground tape swapping networks and conversations about Metallica lyrics while camping out on line for concert tickets.
A second wave of British and American rock bands became popular during the late 1960s to the 1970s, with groups that were more steeped in American blues music than their more pop-oriented predecessors. Bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, Status Quo, Aerosmith, Queen, Black Sabbath, and Uriah Heep played highly amplified, guitar-driven hard rock that would come to be known as heavy metal. Heavy metal languished into obscurity in the late 1970s. A few bands including Kiss, Queen, Black Sabbath,AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith maintained large followings and there were occasional mainstream hits such as Blue yster Cult's "(Don't Fear) the Reaper". Music critics overwhelmingly disliked the genre. This began to change in 1978 following the release of Van Halen's eponymous, self-titled debut album. The album helped to usher in an era of high-energy rock and roll, based out of Los Angeles, California.
One genre that was widely popular in the 1980s (c.1983) was glam metal. Taking influence from various artists such as Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, Bon Jovi, Queen, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister, (all but Queen would eventually play glam metal at some point in the 80s), Sweet and the New York Dolls. The earliest glam metal bands to gain notability included: Mtley Cre, W.A.S.P. and Ratt. They became known for their debauched lifestyles, teased hair and use of make-up and clothing. Their songs were bombastic and often defiantly macho, with lyrics focused on sex, drinking, drugs, and the occult.
By the mid 1980s, a formula developed in which a glam metal band had two hits -- one a "power ballad" (slow-dance tempo, with soft verses and bombastic anthemic choruses), and the other a hard-rocking anthem. In 1987 a second wave of glam metal acts, sometimes referred to as sleaze rock, emerged including L.A. Guns and Faster Pussycat.
My name is John Tahan a webmaster , computer specialist and also a musician singer song writer, working on my new demo , I invite you all to check out my sites for all metal fans at: http://www.tzarrockmetal.com and have a listen at my 80's Rock metal album called "Players of the Game" and for everyone starting out at playing guitar I have created a small site called: http://www.guitarapprentice.com enjoy them

All of us know what jazz is when we hear it, but trying to define it is a different matter. With so many variant styles, coming up with an accurate definition of jazz is difficult if not impossible.
But I suppose that an article on jazz really ought to attempt to define the term jazz. My Thorndike-Barnhart Dictionary defines jazz like this:
*jazz (jaz), noun. 1. American music with the accents falling at unusual places; syncopated music. 2. Slang, liveliness adj. of or like jazz: a jazz band.
Besides not telling us very much, it is also obviously false. I think immediately of ballads played by jazz musicians, such as Thelonious Monks Round Midnight and Bill Evans Peace Piece, and countless other examples. They are based on neither syncopation nor liveliness; they are slow, extremely thoughtful, and the antithesis of jazzy. Yet they are considered by both jazz musicians and jazz critics alike to be well within the mainstream of jazz.
Lets try A New Dictionary of Music and see if we can get closer to the essence of jazz:
*jazz, a term used at least from 1914 for a type of American popular music originating among blacks of New Orleans and taken over also by whites; also used generally for various types of dance music indebted to this (though purists reserve the term for such music as retains the original flavor and the original basis of improvisation.) The jazz idiom, characterized by certain syncopations over strongly reiterated rhythms, has influenced e.g. Lambert, Stravinsky, and Milhaud, as well as many American composers.
Thats better than the Thorndike-Barnhart definition, but it still leans heavily toward defining jazz in terms of rhythm alone: characterized by certain syncopations over strongly reiterated rhythms. I think again of ballads, but also of much contemporary jazz which is not characterized by certain syncopations,: such as the work of pianists Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea.
What then is jazz? If the general dictionaries and musical dictionaries cant satisfactorily answer the question, what hope is there for us?
Ask a hundred jazz musicians what jazz is, and youll get a hundred different answers (I know Ive asked at least a dozen and gotten as many different responses.)
I would like to suggest that the answer may lie, not in music, but in semantics.
I think it is entirely possible that we are lumping together widely disparate types of music, and labeling them all with the term jazz, then wondering why we cant come up with a lexical definition of the term. Maybe we should abandon the word jazz, and use terms such as improvised fast syncopated music, or improvised slow non-syncopated music. Maybe we should, but we wont. So we are stuck with the non-definable term jazz.
So lets not define jazz.
We all know what it is, more or less. We would disagree mainly in the grey areas, such as ballads, some contemporary works, and so forth. But lets agree not to disagree, and just enjoy it.
The following articles in this series will deal with the various styles we find in jazz, from ragtime to fusion.
So stay tuned.

Customer Review: Well, Well. Yet another overpriced piece of work...
And I mean this literally. Should you own this? No. Should you get the ORIGINAL? The MORE AFFORDABLE version, with no lyrics and missing a bonus Japanese track, How You See The World? YES, MY *GOD* YES!! Cool, this version has an added song and the lyrics...(WHO DOESN'T LOVE READING ALONG?!?!?!). But at a price this over-bloated, PLEASE DON'T BOTHER!!!! No human with decent sense would pay for this!!!! Half of the tracks are upbeat which I prefer Coldplay's music to portray, and after studying this album's nooks and crannies, I found just TWO duds. b^_^b White Shadows, Fix You, Twisted Logic, Square One, Low, Speed Of Sound, Talk & X&Y are amongst the great tracks. But then you have filler tracks such as What If and Swallowed In The Sea. The rest of the CD is full of decent if just a tad forgetful tracks; A Message, The Hardest Part & Till Kingdom Come definitely fill my mind first. I was SO looking forward to this release because I have their 2 previous albums and I highly enjoyed tracks such as In My Place, Clocks and Daylight, for their uplifting, positive demeanor. Coldplay has an interesting lyric here and there, and my initial thoughts told me that it wasn't enough. White Shadows was a low point for me, but thank goodness I seen a quirky but awesome video to accompany the song, and I was totally, totally hooked! With that said, I can't wait to experience their new sound in mid-late 2008 or early 2009: I bet they release it around then and it'd be best if it were better than this one! Or at least here's to hoping... *Cheers* Keep it comin', Coldplay! You have fans other than the emotional girls that follow you. Customer Review: Well, I can rate the first 13 tracks...
I don't have this import version, but I WOULD get it if it were 25 bucks or less. 46 bucks + is super-ridiculous and anyone who shells out that much is either: 1. Stupidly rich 2. Rich and stupid 3. Just plain rich 4. a HUGE, HUGE fan 5. All of the above No human with decent sense would pay for this otherwise. I fall into that category and none of the above ones (*LOL*!!). Without question, if you're interested in learning a second language, Spanish is one of your best options. Whether you're looking to meet high school language proficiency requirements or simply want to round out your education, Spanish is one of the most useful languages you can learn. You may even find that learning Spanish will help you in other areas of your education.
Similarity to Other Languages
Spanish is one of several European languages based on Latin - called the Romance languages. As a result, when you learn Spanish, you'll have a beginner's key to a number of other languages, including French and Italian. Because many words in Spanish are based on Latin roots, you may find that learning Spanish will help you understand medical and scientific terms.
In fact, many people consider Spanish the easiest of the Romance languages because it lacks the complex pronunciations found in French, while still retaining a structure and root word usage that's compatible with other languages. You'll also find that the Spanish language has a natural rhythm that makes it comfortable to speak and write. In some cases, you may even find that Spanish is easier to learn than your native language!
Spoken All Over the World
Historically speaking, conquerors and missionaries from Spain and Portugal were primarily responsible for the spread of the Spanish language throughout the American continents. Today, Spanish is spoken all over Europe, as well as in Mexico and many countries in South America. That said, it's important to realize that people in specific geographic regions speak in dialects that may be very different from what you initially learned. However, the basic elements of European dialects are similar enough that you'll be able to interpret these different patterns with ease.
Easy and Convenient to Learn
Considering that Spanish is spoken by over 300 million people around the world, it should come as no surprise that locating classes and tutorials is fairly easy. If you're a high school student, you probably have the option to elect Spanish studies for free. Many colleges also offer full credit classes for students, as well as non-credit versions for community members. There are also hundreds of tapes, videos, books, and dictionaries designed to help you learn Spanish on your own. You can also take advantage of the internet to find websites, chat rooms, and other resources that are developed exclusively in Spanish.
When you're thinking about learning a second language, it's important to consider the benefits of all your different options. Unfortunately, if you choose a less commonly known language like Latin, you won't have many opportunities to practice with others or to directly use your knowledge. Learning Spanish will give you this kind of linguistic grounding. At the same time, you'll gain the ability to converse with millions of people that may or may not speak your native language. In addition, if you don't already speak English or another Romance language, Spanish offers you a key foundation to learning them.
The best online Spanish learning is at Spanish-Kit.net where lessons in Spanish vocabulary are free.

Customer Review: No rhythm no problem
I will say this I'm Hispanic so I did know some Salsa before I purchased this DVD. I wanted to learn some advanced moves and I realized before I purchased this video that prob wasn't for me. It wasn't but it did teach me some basic concepts in general. It also taught me how to turn. I'm a natural dancer but it gave me concrete steps which I just do without thinking. That being said I do believe this will teach ANYBODY to dance. He gives so much detail and repetition there is no way you won't be able to pick it up. I love the hand tricks. Also I didn't have a partner and this a partner video. Don't buy if you have dance experience.
Customer Review: Easy to follow.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow. My husband has absolutely no rythym and he picked up the steps.
When two middle-aged men tied the knot on March 16, they became the first legally recognised gay couple in Mexico City, the capital of the worlds second largest Catholic country.
When Mexican gays unite
Journalist Antonio Medina, 38, and economist Jorge Cerpa, 31, registered for homosexual partnership soon after the citys new law permitting gay civil unions took effect, according to the Associated Press.
The Mexicans were united in front of government buildings, kissing under a flag that read "Civil Union Law: Your right to choose" while a band played "Besame Mucho".
"With this law, a history of exclusion comes to an end," Medina told the AP. "Today, the love that before did not dare say its name has now entered the public spotlight.
Last November, Mexico City passed a bill to allow gays and lesbians to form a partnership protecting property, pension and inheritance rights. But it stops short of granting all the legal statues and rights of marriage.
Campaigners had promoted same-sex civil unions for 7 years before the municipal assembly recognized gay couples legal statues, the BBC reported.
"It is simply fantastic," said Julio Roman, a gay rights campaigner in Mexico City. "It is more than symbolic. It is the result of years of fighting for our basic rights."
Long road ahead
But not everyone is happy. Church officials and Christians reportedly took it to the streets to voice their objections.
"It is simply not the will of God to have acts of homosexuality," Armando Martinez Gomez, president of the Association of Catholic Lawyers, told BBC News.
"We are not against gay people," he noted. "But we believe in a union between a man and a woman for the creation of children."
Church officials have also called the new policy "Hitleria" and the citys politicians faithless, Reuters said.
Mexico City is not the first to take more liberal attitudes toward homosexuals in Latin America. Argentina's capital Buenos Aires, Mexicos northern state of Coahuila and Brazils southern state of Rio Grande do Sul all have legalised same-sex unions.
But the public still remains intolerant of gay couples agitating for legal rights in Mexico, where some 90 percent of its 107 million people are Catholics.
Only 28 per cent of adults support laws that would grant homosexual partners to legal statues and some benefits and rights, according to a poll by Parametra.
In 2005, every two days in Latin America a gay was killed because of his sexuality, reported the Belgium-based NGO International Lesbian and Gay Association.
Countries like Brazil and Mexico have the highest levels of hate crimes, because homosexual people become easy targets when coming out of the closet, said the Economist.

There are so many different types of ukulele strings out there, it can be very confusing. I've ended up buying the wrong type of string in the past and so have many others.
The type of string you have on your uke can make a big difference to the sound. Usually, new ukuleles will come with low quality strings. With every ukulele I've bought, I've immediately changed the strings to a quality brand.
However, you need to be careful what you buy. Here are some things to consider:
Size
It is very important that you buy the right size of string to fit your ukulele. The thickness and length of the string differs depending on the size of ukulele.
If you have the standard, smallest size ukulele, make sure you buy soprano strings. If you have a tenor or baritone ukulele, make sure the strings are marked with that size.
Brand
Amongst most ukulele players, there is a general consensus that Aquila and Worth are the best strings around. You should definitely test out these two brands of strings to see which you prefer and provide a baseline if you want to test out other brands.
There are many other makes of ukulele string. Professional ukulelists endorse other brands. For example, Jake Shimabukuro has an endorsement deal with D'Addario and James Hill has Hilo strings on his re-entrant ukes.
Tuning
Different types of tuning require different types of string. The standard ukulele tuning is gCEA with the g-string pitched between the E and A strings (known as re-entrant). If the strings you are buying don't state a tuning, it's fairly safe to assume that this is the tuning.
Before you buy the strings, be sure to check they are not low-G strings (unless that's what you're looking for). It is not possible to tune low-G ukuleles to high-G and vice versa. However, you can use low-G tuning on a high-G uke (and vice versa) with a little modification (sometimes no modification at all is needed).
You'll sometimes see strings intended for ADF#B tuning. This is the standard ukulele tuning but two frets higher. There's very little difference between these two tunings and string sizes, so the strings you get for this tuning will be suitable for standard tuning.
Buying a quality set of ukulele strings is a wise investment. It's by far the cheapest way to improve the sound of your ukulele and will make playing a more pleasant experience. Just be sure to double check that the strings you are buying are correct for you ukulele.

Many anime enthusiasts over the net create their own AMV's and raves about them. What is an AMV? An AMV stands for "Anime Music Video. An anime music video is a video made from compiled scenes from a specific or a mixture of various anime with the background music of any song that the user might deem fancy. They're rapidly gaining popularity over the internet with millions and millions of people, mostly kids, trying their hand at making their own versions of these videos. AMV's are usually displayed in video streaming sites such as youtube, livevideo, and veoh. What's so great about these videos is that they allow you to enjoy your favorite music while watching all the best scenes of your favorite anime.
Making Anime Music Videos
Anime Music Videos are rather easy to make. All you need is a program like the Windows Movie Maker and a bunch of clips from the anime of your choice and of course, the music you're going to use for the background.
Good AMV's, however, are a different matter. You see, there are several AMV's in the net that are of poor quality because they're simply very tough to make and it requires a large portion of time. To create a fully well synchronized AMV along with the music is rather tough because usually the music beats a lot of time is very different in comparison to the timing of various clips or scenes inside the anime. Creativity is also another area that's tough as well; it requires a lot of time, patience, a good eye, and a good listening ear to grasp all the essence which it delivers together. To match the scenes with the music, consider every single beat and even the lyrics are all important parts in order to make a good AMV. It also helps if you have an advanced program such as Sony Vegas so that you can have more choices in editing, thereby enabling you to make exceptionally awesome AMV's. Some of the more advanced AMV makers are even going so far as to cut out the characters of an anime in some scene and impose them upon a different background, enabling them to make their own stories out of the graphics already made available to them through the wonders of the internet.
Once you're done making your AMV, all you need to do is to save it onto an .avi format and upload it to your favorite video streaming site. Most people prefer youtube as their primary source of video streaming site, but as you may have heard, there's an issue surrounding youtube and AMV's so pick your video stream sites wisely!
Anime Music Videos and Copyrighting
When you make an anime music video, you're automatically infringing on the copyright of the true owners of the resources that you are using. The footage that you're using isn't yours; it is the rightful property of the animator who has created the anime. If you don't have the permission to use it, then you're infringing upon their rights. Same goes with the music that you're using for your AMV. The music belongs to the artists, the singers, and not to you. If you don't have any permission or if you're not giving credit, then you don't have the right to use it.
Recently, youtube has been placed in hot water due to the numerous infringements of the copyright law in their website. And since they're based on the US, they really have no choice but to comply and to remove the AMV's that their costumers made. This, however, is causing a lot of discontent from their subscribers, thereby putting youtube in a precarious position.
So, if you're going to make an AMV, make sure that you're not violating any copyright laws out of respect. But if you're insistent, then hey, who's there to stop you?
Henry Hsieh has multiple interests and he enjoys talking about them. As a fan of anime, he likes to watch Naruto, play Naruto games discuss them in Naruto Forums, and listen to Naruto MP3 at tailedfox.com the best Naruto site with the newest Naruto episodes of Naruto Shippuden out first.

Unlimited music downloads available on numerous websites today can make any music lover drool over. Dont lose your senses, though. The market of unlimited music downloads is huge and still expanding, so the question is not where to find these sites, but how to get the best deal and quality without posing your money, computer and yourself at risk.
Obviously, all the sites offering unlimited music downloads are not the same. While there are a few genuine ones, the sad and scary fact is most of those sites are fraud, using the offer of unlimited music downloads as a lure to get either money or sensitive data from you. And the peer-to-peer sites, giving away free unlimited music downloads, are notorious for malware and viruses of all sorts any downloaded file can lodge in your computer.
Take your time to search around and see what those incredible promises of unlimited music downloads are about. Read the sites terms and conditions. Is there a proof that the songs they supply are legal and copyright issue free? The last thing you want is to become a law offender.
There are too many websites giving away unlimited music downloads absolutely free of cost mostly illegally (though claiming the opposite), on the basis of sharing. Usually they are full of aggressive flashing ads and irritating pop-ups, making it difficult to navigate the site and find what you want. Also, some of them may try to trick you into paying for software you will need in order to manage your unlimited music downloads, while the software is available free of cost on other sites.
Check if you can browse the song library. If the site asks you to subscribe first, it is very likely a scam. Some legal and reputed websites may request you to download their software in order to see the selection of music downloads, but they will neither charge you, nor ask you to subscribe or register. Most genuine websites will also allow you to listen to sample tracks to make sure this is what you were looking for and to check the quality.
Compare pricing for membership or subscription, check if there are any extra charges, say, for burning a CD. Stay away from too unrealistic offers of unlimited music downloads. Such website can collect your money and instead of the promised lifetime membership just disappear overnight. Therefore, it also makes sense to check the sites reputation find out how long they have been in business, how many members they have, read reviews and clients feedback.
If you have no time to research, try a quick check for a possible scam: navigate your mouse over other major links on the site, e.g. Download Now or Music if you see the same URL that the homepage has, better search somewhere else.
The online industry of unlimited music downloads is exposed to various tricks and unethical practices, but it doesnt mean that you cant enjoy your favorite music. Unlimited music downloads can become a fantastic experience if you take simple steps to secure yourself and prevent scam attempts.
Why not pop over to my blog and check out some of the most popular and reliable download services?

I have a friend who always says that she wishes we would just bust out in random song and dance throughout the day. She believes that there would be less war, and definitely more entertainment in our everyday lives. I have to admit, I think I agree with her. Even though real life isn't all song and dance, we can pretend for limited amounts of time that it is reality. We can do this by watching musicals and Broadway shows. These offer great escapes from the sometimes dull path that we call life. But with so many of these to choose from, it may be hard to find the right one for your current mood. Here are just a few choices that you have, in detail.
Cats: This is one of the most famous Broadway productions. Even more famous then the name "Cats" is the producer, Andrew Lloyd Weber, who has produced many successful pieces. It is actually based off of T.S. Eliot's poems; you guessed it, involving cats. If you are a feline-lover, this is the perfect show for you. Just think; nothing but cats!
Wicked: I've heard lots of great things about this production. It is based off the book by Gregory Maguire called, "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West". This is a story from the perspectives of the witches of the Land of Oz. As a viewer, you will get to see a friendship, rivalry, jealousy, and opposing viewpoints and beliefs-all with great music.
Hairspray: This is one of my personal favorites. This is set in the 1960s and is full of racial tension. This has a great message and is very entertaining. Also, the main character is not the typical "popular" girl. She becomes popular because of her personality, rather than her looks. The characters learn that the personality is more important than what is on the outside.
Phantom of the Opera: Again, another of my all-time favorites. This production is based off of Gaston Leroux's novel with the same title. This musical offers everything from love, adventure, suspense, friendship, danger, and entertainment-with, of course, the most fabulous costumes and makeup.
Rent: This is considered a rock musical. It is brazen and a little in your face-- but in a good way. This musical follows a group of young artists and musicians living in New York. Their everyday life is a struggle for survival. The many things they deal with are AIDS, poverty, love, friendship, betrayal, and sacrifice. This is definitely a heart-wrenching production-but beautifully created and presented.
These are just a few; there are so many more available to experience. The variety of shows offers something for everyone. Also, for family outings there are a few Disney productions that are great for every age group. Before you purchase your Broadway tickets, make sure that you find the right one for you and others in your group-you wouldn't want to see something inappropriate for children. This way, the Broadway musical experience can be a remarkable memory that the whole family can remember with smiles.

Most of us are very familiar with the dance between peace and chaos. Everything is going smoothly or at least nothing stands out as being a major challenge. We feel like life has allowed us to take a deep breath. We feel we have finally reached balance. Then along comes something to deal with, something that demands our focus, and something that re-orders our priorities. We wonder when we are going to finally reach a peaceful equilibrium and blissful homeostasis.
In his book Toxic Success, Paul Pearsall writes that this state of balance isn't something that is natural for us. Balance does not happen in nature; there are times of peace, followed by upheaval and then the pattern repeats itself. As humans, he says, we may desire arriving at some perfect state, but this is not our nature. Life is always in process. For many of us, this doesn't feel like good news.
I used to think whenever I achieved some desired state that I would be "done". As someone who likes to get things done I started to notice that no matter how neatly the goal or vision seemed to convey completion to me, once achieved there was always something beyond that achievement, state or idea. The old saying that the top of one mountain is the bottom of the next took on personal meaning for me. However, the question occurred to me, if we could ever be done or complete, would we need to be students of the school of life on planet Earth?
Chaos allows us to create and recreate and can catapult us to the next level of personal and spiritual development if we work with it rather than resist it. If we yield to chaos and learn from it, chaos can be an incredible teacher. For those of us who love a bit of control, this idea may feel challenging to integrate.
I'm not talking about cheap contrived drama when I write of chaos. I'm writing about chaos that arises naturally from participation in life which forces us out of our comfort zone and spurs us on to our next level of human potential. If we feel like we needn't grow or learn anymore, we aren't advancing the plot. Perhaps paradoxically, this is not to suggest that you are not whole as you are, you are, but your expression in the world can be deepened and developed by embracing change and the dance between peace and chaos.
The chaos of the world can certainly enhance our spiritual development. We can embrace both the temporal and the spiritual and each can inform the choices of the other. A Buddhist may characterize this vacillation as the dance between samsara and nirvana. Samsara is about life in the world and nirvana is the blissful peace state of the enlightened master.
Many of us feel we want to be only in the state of nirvana and we get very discouraged and even plain bummed out when we have to deal with messiness of samsara. We are tempted to think if only we could be on a mountain top and in the lotus position blissed-out we would be happy! But chances are good you would still be struggling with samsara even then. Maybe your bum would be sore from sitting so long, maybe you would feel cold and chapped sitting on a Tibetan mountain top and perhaps you would miss your loved ones.
If we could accept from the beginning that temporal life is always in a state of change, we might be able to accept the dance as we are moving to the music.
Hindus believe that the chaos we speak of is maya or illusion. This perspective may help us deal with the chaos but not get caught up in it. Further, if we yearn neither for peace or chaos, samsara or nirvana, but accept both states, as if we are holding them gently in our open hand, we may develop and deepen our inner peace and truth that can be a great comfort to us in times up change, upheaval and struggle. Let's forgive ourselves for not yet operating from the perspective of an enlightened master and accept ourselves as learning pilgrims on life's journey with its many vicissitudes.

For waaaay too long, plus size women were completely overlooked as a viable market for lingerie manufacturers. Sexy AND plus size bridal lingerie? No such product existed. What were they thinking? Never mind, I know what they were thinking, and so do you. I just wish I knew who to thank since now plus size brides can be seen as the sexy goddesses they are.
I'm thrilled for all the current and future plus size brides who can wear sexy lingerie on their honeymoon, but I have to admit I can't help but be a little bitter that it came far too late to benefit me. But the good news is, it's not too late for you!
In decades past, the hardest thing about plus size lingerie was finding any. There are now so many choices in sexy, exotic and erotic plus size bridal lingerie, the hardest part is limiting your selections to what your budget will allow! Just don't be fooled by those "one size fits all" labels. They lie.
The second best thing that's come along for plus size women is the good ol' Internet. By expanding our shopping choices to global-wide, we're able to find a wide variety of plus size clothes, including sexy plus size bridal lingerie.
Your bridal lingerie consists of not only what you'll wear on the honeymoon, but also what you'll wear beneath your wedding gown on the day of the wedding. For your wedding day lingerie you may want to choose comfort over style. You don't want to go through the whole wedding feeling pinched or uncomfortable. You might consider a lacy camisole with a garter belt and stockings for a touch of style without having to give up comfort.
You'll probably want to purchase your wedding day lingerie well in advance so you can see how they feel under your wedding dress. Be sure your bra is supportive and comfortable, and allows for freedom of movement. (Remember you'll be dancing and hugging and throwing the bouquet!)
Your choices online for sexy plus size bridal lingerie are virtually endless. Do you want elegant and demure? What about something racy? How about downright sexy and hot? Or maybe you feel a little naughty and nasty? You can be anything you want to be, and you can find sexy plus size lingerie to fit every occasion with a quick Google search.
Popular items in sexy plus size bridal lingerie include Rumba panties with a matching lacy chemise, lace body stockings and perhaps the most favorite, the baby doll. Many baby dolls come with a built-in bra to shape and support and the saucy little skirt gently flows around mid thigh. A scoop neck or V-neckline adds to the appeal, as do layers of feathers or ruffles. Plus size women look great in baby dolls.
Whatever your mood, whatever your desire, and finally at last, whatever your size - you can find sexy, seductive plus size bridal lingerie. And you can find it online, where you can browse to your heart's content in the comfort of your own home. Many brides do almost all their wedding shopping online and their numbers are rising every year.
The most important thing in choosing sexy plus size bridal lingerie is that you feel good about what you're wearing. You look even better to him when you're pleased with yourself and feel comfortable and happy with the way you look.
In addition to new and used plus size wedding dresses Curvy Brides offers plus size brides a wide variety of sexy lingerie for their wedding, honeymoon and beyond. Christian retail is a hot market. Mainstream stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, and even grocery stores throughout the nation are profiting from the sale of Christian books, music, and DVDs.
Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer, brings in annual sales from Christian merchandise in excess of $1 billion annually. It shouldn't come as a surprise from both a business and values based perspective. Wal-Mart's founder Sam Walton always wanted to reflect the values of his customers and uphold morality to support their local community.
With Wal-Mart, Target, and grocery stores such as Publix in the south selling Christian books and merchandise, consumers have more options. That means the some 8,000 small Christian retailers scattered across the U.S. can no longer charge obscene retail prices for wholesome God fearing merchandise. This is good for consumers. Furthermore where the big retailers like Wal-Mart and Target fail to have product depth, smaller retailers can provide additional attention to Christian customers seeking enriching spiritual materials and music.
Why are Christian self-help books and music flourishing across the country and getting the attention of major retailers?
1. People are spiritually hungry and not being sufficiently fed on Sundays at church.
Most people physically eat three meals a day. How then spiritually can we be expected to live on one small snack a week spiritually? Many churches don't allow for very long sermons any more. Pastors are afraid people will leave and therefore have shortened their messages. Many in the pulpit are trying to be entertaining and thereby have minimized their ability to equip and empower God's people.
Those who are spiritually hungry are therefore running to Christian bookstores to obtain edifying and enriching materials to empower them to serve God. Beyond churchgoers are those spiritually desirous of a relationship with God who never attend church. They too are seeking stimulating spiritual material to awaken and feed their spirit.
2. As the world gets increasingly troublesome and America becomes all the more engrossed in a global war on terror, people are fearing for their lives.
As life becomes more precious and sacred once again, people are awakening to their mortality and becoming spiritual. People want to know about the end-times, the end of the age, how they ought to live, and want to be adequately prepared for major global occurences lest they be caught unaware.
3. Marriages and families are falling apart like never before.
As marriages and the family structure is disintegrating due to increased immorality throughout the land, many are running back to the Bible and its ageless truths. When your life, marriage, and family begins falling apart you will humble yourself and seek help. Many are doing so through self-help Christian books with timeless truths.
4. Parents are having a difficult time rearing their children in a secularized culture that is trying to swallow them up.
MTV, hip-hop music, dance clubs, ghetto dress codes, and foul talking youth are frightening parents. Many are seeking guidance from spiritual authors who address issues they face on a daily basis. Tough talk is needed and when Pastors shun their responsibility, mature parents run to bookshelves seeking answers and guidance.
The Christian retail industry is estimated to be a $3 billion business annually, according to the Christian Booksellers Association. Beyond Bibles and books, retailers are doing very well selling Christian apparel, music, videos, gifts, artwork, software and a variety of children's products.
Christians want to follow the great commandment given by Jesus to love their neighbor and seek to begin by showing them the way to salvation through Christ. Creating a culture of our own, Christians and retailers are successfully impacting the world and awaking the lost to the reality of the risen Christ. Nothing is more satisfying than to see people excited about the love of God and newness of life in Christ.

It's Spring Break and the flowers are in bloom, but there's no flowered scent to the rancid air in the red light district. A matted up cat scurries away from a dumpster as I pass, making my way across the littered sidewalk to a dirty little shop with a twitching neon sign, "Pawn Here."
As I approach the cracked glass counter I sense other customers' eyes on me. I don't look like I belong here in my designer boots with my sweet little 5-year-old son at my side. My son points timidly at a large rusty knife with a skull engraved in the side and I'm suddenly guilty that I've dragged him into such a seedy place.
"I hear you have a violin," I say to the rugged, hunched man behind the counter. I say it in a sweet, treble tone that make me further stand out in a "I'm just a girlie girl with too much money who knows nothing about violins" sort of way.
Truth be known, I am a violinist and a violin shop owner. I'm not an expert in advanced violin authenticity, but I know a good violin when I see one and I also know when to run away screaming when it's junk. I'm here with hopes that the violin in question is worth repairing and restringing so it may be sold cheap to a student on a budget, making me a little bit of cash as well.
My hopes are not high that this will happen, but every so often there is something worth picking up. I don't volunteer this information as past experiences have proven this always unreasonably jacks up the price about 400%. I'm not here to gouge the guy, but I don't want to be gouged myself. Act like I know nothing and I can usually get it at an appropriate price.
I will have to dance the dance to keep this transaction fair.
The man behind the corner clears his throat loudly and eyes me suspiciously. I blink twice and smile, pink lipgloss shimmering in his clouded eyes. He glares again, slowly turns then limps to a back room, shouting over his shoulder something about how he has to go to the "special room" where rare instruments are kept.
This is pawn shop Tactic #1: Talk up the merchandise and add unrealistic mystique.
He returns with what looks like a miniature coffin covered in dust. It's an old black wooden violin case. Predating plastic and styrofoam, these were the sorry excuses for cases that caused more harm to instruments than not since they had no padding and the weak metal latches that held them together would spontaneously unhinge, causing many a fiddle to fall to death during transport.
"This is a fine antique case, made in 1883," says the shopkeeper. A man to my left approaches and says breathily, "those things are worth $500! They are very rare!" I keep my neutral gaze and say, "Oh yeah."
First off, I have about 4 such cases stored under my bed since I can't get rid of the things. Secondly, I had seen this "customer" helping move stock as I passed the shop a few days earlier. He was another employee who poses as customer to add "unbiased" credibility to the lies the shopekeeper spins. My son coughs and looks around, bored out of his mind.I maintain my blank expression. I'm starting to think the violin inside this casket is a dead end.
The shopkeeper opens the case and my suspicions are confirmed.
It is absolutely horrible. A cheap, Chinese made Corelli or Bestler fiddle from the early 1980's. I've seen so many to know what they are upon first glance. It has the usual ugly starburst orange and yellow plastic finish, which has cracked due to heat exposure. The pegs are made from cheap, splintered rosewood. The chinrest and tailpiece are the cheapest shiny black plastic, with a sticky mystery stain covering the cup of the chinrest.
As if this kind violin wasn't wretched enough in playable shape, the junk before me had been crushed and nastily glued back together. Sort of. The neck was askew and the top was coming undone at one side. I can safely say this was the most deplorable violin I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of rotten junk in my time.
I forcefully hold in judgement like a bulimic keeps from getting sick with company present. The shopkeeper inhales, about to launch into his spiel, using pawn shop Tactic #2: Let the lies begin.
"This here violin is a master instrument," he says in a hushed tone. At this I am compelled to say something or I'll burst. "It's a Chinese Strad-copy violin from the 1980's, most-likely a Corelli," I interrupt quickly. Uh oh, the jig is up. He knows I'm no dupe.
But wait, he tries pawn shop Tactic #3: Lie some more. "No, M'am," he simpers. "This is a real Stradivarius. It's been in an attic for a long time, an undiscovered treasure." His face has obviously rehearsed the honest, pleading expression. His knack for lying is, in a sick way, admirable.
This is beginning to annoy me, but I want to see how big of a hole he'll dig for himself. I look at him as if wanting to be enlightened. He takes the bait and goes for tactic #4: Lie, but make it a real whopper."This violin was made by one of Stradivarius' students," he lies.
I almost laugh out loud at this, considering "Stradivari," not "Stradivarius" was the maker of Stradivarius violins and all of his instruments have been accounted for. And really, what kind of idiot thinks the most recently discovered Strad is for sale at a lousy pawn shop?
My son is shuffling his feet, but not complaining out loud. I wish he'd throw a tantrum so I'd have an excuse to leave quickly. Instead I maintain my composure and casually thank the man for his time before I turn and leave. He keeps his cool as my son and I walk out without another glance back, though to him I'm the one that got away.
We danced the delicate dance of buyer and seller, expert and swindler, and thankfully no one's toes were stepped on. He will go on to swindle another and may do well in the end. I am happy I still believe that people are good and I don't take it personally when they go bad.
As we drive away, my son asks why I didn't buy the nice violin. The poor dear would buy an ice cube in Alaska. Thus I begin to teach him another lesson in life's tricky dance moves, keeping your balance while still enjoying the music.

Gossip Girl continues to bring fresh music to each and every episode from a roundup of indie bands just making a name for themselves or already favorites with a huge fan following. In, Desperately Seeking Serena the music is loud and rocking, but every song has just the perfect lyrics to capture the mood of each scene. Here are the songs played, the bands that played them and where each tune was played in this episode of Gossip Girl.
The upcoming SATs that the entire crew must undergo is the source of much stress, anticipation and of course thoughts about the future. Two songs in this week's episode are dedicated to highlight and accompany the group as they go along with all the necessary preparations for the big day. Do The Panic by Phantom Planet opens the episode and bops along through an SAT prep monologue and a couple other SAT related scenes. Later in the episode Campus by Vampire Weekend comes in while Dan, Vanessa and Nate discuss the upcoming tests.
Three tracks follow Georgina and Serena around town and as they let loose and find trouble. Party beat Crimewave by Crystal Castles vs. Health plays while old buddies Georgina and Serena start off the night over drinks. Later in the night, and the episode, the now intoxicated duo party the night away to the song Nice Sweet Sexy by DLFX ft. Imperio & Cru. Finally, Georgina employs her best scheming to get Serena out for dinner and the tunes of The Ting Tings, We Started Nothing plays in the background.
Back at Blair's SAT party, poor Nelly is a victim to Blair's cunning scheme. In order to rattle Nelly while she is studying Blair plays music that is sure to keep anyone from concentrating. For this scene Elevator by Flo Rida featuring Timbaland is the song of choice.

Customer Review: What a complete waste
I'm blown away by how worthless this DVD is. Imagine you're putting together about a DVD about a band. You'd probably include interviews w/ band members, live and/or recording footage, maybe some behind the scenes footage of the band. This DVD has ABSOLUTELY NONE of that. It's all interviews with random people, most of whom don't know the band. "Parachutes is a great debut album. It shipped X number of copies." What a complete waste of $15. I'm a huge fan of the band, so if I can't appreciate this DVD, you won't either.
Customer Review: Absolute rubbish
When I bought this, I rushed home to watch it - I was that excited. I started to fast forward after 25 minutes because it was simply awful. None of the band members were directly featured in the documentary. The people interviewed were loosely associated with the band from the past but nobody of particular relevance. For instance, they interview some people that used to go to school with Chris or someone that used to work in a pub with Guy. 95% of the interview footage is taken up by an ex-producer, biographer - Martin Roach, and some DJ about her thoughts on Coldplay. There is no Coldplay music used in the film. All the background music has been created to resemble Coldplay and it's absolute rubbish. There is probably about three minutes of actual footage of Coldplay but they are not direct interviews. The rest is all photographs of the band. This documentary is the pits. Such filmmaking resources were better invested elsewhere rather than trying to capitalise on the band's success and fans spending money.
One of the more fascinating styles is the Turkish belly dance. The dance music is characterized by the sounds of the oboe, clarinet, kanoon, finger cymbals and hand drums. Turkish dance costumes are among the more risqu of the cabaret styles, baring plenty of leg and cleavage. Similar to Greek and Armenian it is usually faster than Egyptian dance music, and often there are less rhythmic changes. Turkish belly dancers spread their traditional dance around the wider world, and enchanted their audiences when they appeared on dance stages in countries from America to Argentina; from the Arabian Peninsula to England and from Japan to Italy.
Turkish belly dance has been at least 500 years of history. The most important influence on it came from the Roma (Gypsies) people of Turkey. Today this style of dancing often struggles against the morals of a Muslim country but is generally still accepted because of its deep history. As artists they dare to see how far they can take sensuality into sexuality. The costumes consist of a bra, a belt and a skirt. Among current designs, hip accentuation's are built directly onto the skirt in lieu of a belt.
Turkish belly dance is something that is quite closely related to that of the cabaret style and is recognizable in that reference. The dresses that are usually used in this form of dance are quite embellished and adorned with different sorts of glittering objects such as jewels and beads. Turkish Belly dance is a dance style with a long and significant history in Turkey. It has exerted a considerable influence on the development of modern American cabaret style belly dance. A good description is that it is very earthy, and tends to have more weighted and even suggestive moves.
As you become aware of the many facets of oriental dance, keep in mind that there is no specific style considered right, or correct. All of the various styles are beautiful, inspirational and can elevate our thinking and even ourselves to a higher level. As you learn to dance it is up to you to develop the style, the expression and moves that most reflect your inner being. The only way to know this is to expose yourself to as many styles as you can. If you make sure you study with the best teachers and use the best tools you will find that your expression of this wonderful dance will shine through and entice those who have come to watch you dance.

How many times have you been driving in your car listening to the radio or hanging out at home playing your favorite cd's and a song comes on and all of a sudden as if you were in a time machine, you find yourself in the past walking on a very familiar beach with a girl you were once deeply in love with or you were at home listening to your stereo and your mom comes in and tells you how proud she is of you.
It does not have to be music that makes you reminisce and it does not necessarily have to be only good news that you remember. One of the most tragic days in my life is brought vividly back to life every time I watch an old black and white movie. The movie is "The Maltese Falcon" starring the great actor Humphrey Bogart. It was on November 22, 1963 at 1:30 P.M. EST when my tragedy occurred. I happened to be home from school with the flu watching "The Maltese Falcon" when the movie was interrupted by a special news report: President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in while riding in a presidential motorcade in Dallas, Texas. Now, whenever I watch "The Maltese Falcon", it brings back all of the different emotions that I felt on that tragic day as if I was lying on the sofa watching TV back in 1963.
Music and Movie Posters Are Catalysts To Memories
Much like music and movies, movie posters and music posters can trigger past memories also. There have been times when I have seen music posters of musical artists or bands that sang songs that would bring back memories for me. The same can be said about movie posters. I have seen movie posters that would play a rerun of the movie in my head which in turn would trigger a fond, unhappy or bittersweet memory. So, you do not necessarily have to actually hear a song or watch a movie to bring about memories. A music poster or a movie poster can also be a catalyst for your memories and that is probably the reason that they have kept their immense popularity throughout the decades.

While many carry the artist title because they are part of the music industry, very few can actually pretend to be entitled to the golden crown that makes them real artists.
As far as I can look back, music has always been full part of my life. Growing up with classical music with some openings towards jazz and pop music, I have extended my interest to black music including gospel, soul, blues, and of course, hip hop. I am usually open minded about music, as long as it pleases my ear. However, I am very picky when it comes to define somebody as a real artist. Only the Great who influenced music history deserve to be classified as real artists.
Johann Sebastian Bach is one of those real musicians. His music is an example of hard work. His incessant quest for perfection and harmony characterizes his music. Among the Great, you can count people like John Lennon, Ray Charles, Duke Ellington , James Brown, Eazy E, Nas-and yes- Eminem, whatever his haters might have to object. (This list of artists I mentioned here, is of course, non exhaustive)
Despite the fact RIP Proof was less known from the public than other famous artists, he had all the qualities that make a real artist.
So what is the definition of a real artist?
A real artist, a plain artist is a person who makes music for the love of it, not for the money only, even if he is perfectly conscious that he has a family to feed. A true artist must be inspirational to the listeners. Whatever his message is, people must be able to feel the music and to acknowledge the feelings expressed through the voice, lyrics and instrumentals.
A true artist usually has high requirements regarding the quality of his beats, instrumentals and recorded voice. Never satisfied with himself, he keeps working hard over the years in order to satisfy his public.
A true artist will always put his passion for the music, the will of sharing it and to satisfy his audience before the material aspect of the show biz.
A true artist definitely manages to generate a genuine enthusiasm among his audience.
While being on stage, he becomes the music. He and the audience are one and thats the full beauty of the musical fusion created by dedicated artists and a very receptive audience.
When you hear the song, you must be able to feel the artists feelings and to forget about yourself, because during such moments, there is only place left for the music. Yes, this can happen if the artist is a real, dedicated person towards his art.
When you heard a person like James Brown tell their audience: I feel so good I wanna screeeeaaam, you perfectly know that his words werent made up. There is a wonderful chemistry between such artists and the public. Good vibes are in the air and they penetrate into the mesmerized audiences.
Real artists usually stay humble in front of other great artists. Not only do they possess a good musical culture, but they will never mind quoting other legends. I heard James Brown paying homage to Ray Charles, for instance. So did Nas.
I do consider Eminem as a plain artist, because he changed the face of the rap game. He dared to use different themes than the usual themes used in hip hop and proved to be an astute word acrobat, playing with syllables and foolishly putting words together that you would never see side by side in real life. Moreover, his music touched a lot of people from different backgrounds all over the world.
RIP Proof never failed in naming big influences of his like Kurt Cobain, Jerry Garcia and John Lennon numerous times. One can consider D12 s Proof as a rhyming genius too. He had an amazing sense of realness and more importantly, a great passion for hip hop that wont die away since his
murder on April the 11th, 2006.
The Great in the music have the power to influence generations and usually make history. Even their deaths will never erase their contribution to the music history.
Entire artists are the ones who deserve your respect, because you know, deep inside of you, that they are the ones who live and breathe the music for your ears greatest pleasure. Only those guys will live on through their music over the centuries.
